In order to receive calls from an inmate, it requires that the inmate purchase phone services from a carrier who provides “Inmate Phone Call Services”. The inmate’s family may set up an account with any one of the many prison phone service providers i.e.: (Global Tel*Link, IC Solutions, Securus /CBS, PCS, Pay Tel Com, Etc.). If an inmate is in a facility which uses any of these companies, they must have an account with them to make any calls, collect or otherwise, to family and friends. The only exception, to this, is if the inmate is being held in a Federal -Facility.

We know that inmate calling, can be very expensive for families. That is why, each person should “carefully” examine the real costs of the phone and or text packages, as there may be, hidden costs and fees, which can significantly increase the cost of a plan, thereby, making it more expensive for the inmate and their family.

The FCC, has established a calling rate of .21 per minute (Approx. $3.17) for a local call, for Federal facilities, with additional charges, for long distance.

Dial Local Communications LLC, provides calling to inmates, at a rate of less than seven cents per minute (0.068), which comes to $1.02 for a fifteen minute call. The "ONLY" fee charged by Dial Local, is a 50 cent per week, Account Maintenance Fee, per each active account. We acknowledge, that there will be companies who charge 6 cents (0.060), or even 5 cents (0.050) cents per minute. However, their plans, will usually have those hidden fees, i.e.: connection fees, long distance charges, etc., included, and when an inmate requires additional numbers, they are usually charged at $2.50 plus, per number. Dial Local Communications, encourages our customers to save money by using the unlimited number plans. However, if for some reason, an inmate is unable to use the unlimited number plan at his or her facility, we have plans available, which allows the inmate to purchase additional numbers at $1 each.

HOW TO SIGN UP - Choose a plan, create a new service account, and make your payment. After you have made your payment, You will receive a "Welcome" and an "Activation" email, which contains the inmate's new Dial Local phone number(s) highlighted in the blue box and the texting email your inmate will use for texting. Give them both to your inmate and instruct him/her to put them both in his/her's contact's list correctly. Now they can begin using their phone and or texting plan. When they call the registered number(s) it will ring to your home phone or cell phone. All you have to do is answer as a normal phone call and enjoy saving from 50%-80% GUARANTEED.

HOW TO PAY MY BILL - Pay by clicking the "Pay Now" button on the main menu. Log in to your account using your email address and password you provided, when creating your new service account. Inside of "My Account", you can pay with a debit/credit card and or elect to auto-pay, which will charge the last used debit/credit card for payment on the account. Automatic payments will occur when the account reaches a zero balance or is set to inactive due to 30 day service expiration.
